Jenny Tucker’s Saturday Lunch Fundraiser
A community fundraising lunch event, organised by Jenny Tucker, at Much Birch community hall, raised £952. The event she put together with help from long time friends, Chris and Peter Dowsette of Little Birch, hosted about forty people.
The event titled Saturday Lunch, started welcoming guests from 12.30 on Saturday, the 22nd of September. The guest were treated to a three course lunch, topped of with cups of tea or coffee and a generous helping of desserts.
Guest at the events were able to buy raffle tickets, which is a staple of charity fundraising events. Just before the event concluded at 3pm, Tom Tucker draw the raffle, and announced the prizes.
Hope Spring trustee, Temitope Odurinde spoke briefly about the charity, its impact and how within the organisation’s two year of existence, it has impacted the lives of people in rural West Africa positively.
