Following the series of advocacy visit by the claim your water rights team to Enugu water corporation and the special adviser to the Governor on water resources, Enugu has finally declared a state of emergency in its Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. This is a huge advocacy success for Hope Spring Water.
#ClaimYourWaterRights aims to end water poverty by reinforcing Nigeria citizens right to safe clean water..The declaration shows that the government has recognised the flaws in its water and sanitation services and is ready to improve this sector.
Following the declaration, what is expected is to improve water supply in Enugu and put in place measures to end open defecation in the state.
